The aim of this project was to explore different media, using marine life as the subject matter.
To start with, I did some graphite sketches, to show the forms of marine life, before possible abstraction.

The focus o fthis was to move away from monochromaticism and give an example of colour using soft pencils.

These oil pastel sketches are colour examples, using loose line form inspired by Michael D Edens, although my work is more controlled i wanted to keep the form clear, but have the element of loose line.

This was a replication of a similar painting of Bonnie-Lynn's, done with watercolour and unrestricted brush strokes to give the octopus weightlessness in the water.

Similarly these images use the watercolour technique of Bonnie Lynn, however these ar not replications of his own work, but examples of my own.

To continue with the theme, I've continued with watercolour for the water, but have experimented with sand and emulsion with ink.
